Nineteen Stone Ninjas is an independent creative studio based in the North of England. We’re focused on developing a deep and immersive narrative universe known as SUBNET.
We’re small, but we think big. We’ve built an extensive archive of lore, including over 200 years of in-world history, hard science fiction worldbuilding, and are working on multiple active prototypes that bring this universe to life. The idea for SUBNET first emerged in 2014, envisioned as a 3D immersive sim exploring stealth, parkour, and hacking mechanics. As interest grew, so did our community across various social channels.
By 2017, like many indie projects, our progress was slowed by budget constraints, limited time, and our own ambition. The immersive sim was shelved, and an attempt at a smaller-scale card game was paused shortly after.
But we never stopped building the world. In 2024, we refocused, reorganised, and reignited the spark — with a renewed mission to bring SUBNET to players through multiple formats and experiences.
We’re back. And we’re building.
